PTC is located on North Emerald Road in Greenwood, South Carolina. For the large animal training portion of PTC’s vet tech program, students will receive their training at local farms.

Northeast Iowa Community College
Perhaps the most popular school for aspiring large animal vet techs is Northeast Iowa Community College.
Among NICC’s broad range of program offerings, the facility offers an excellent large animal vet tech program.
While this program does educate students in small animal care, its main focus is large animals. The program is fully approved by the AVMA, and graduates are awarded associate degrees in veterinary technology.

Michigan State University
Michigan State University was founded in 1855 and is located on Trowbridge Road in East Lansing, Michigan. MSU offers a broad range of programs including an intensive veterinary technology program.
During the second year of MSU’s vet tech program, students will focus on large animal care. Graduates of Michigan State’s vet tech program will earn a bachelor of science degree in veterinary technology.

You will find the University of Nebraska on R Street in Lincoln, Nebraska. Among U of M’s many program offerings, there is a terrific veterinary technology program.
